The Launch Trailer: October 15, 2026

Rockstar posted the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer to YouTube at 9 a.m. ET on October 15, 2026. It runs 90 seconds, was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, and is scored by Justice, whom Rockstar names as composers of the game’s original score. The song, “Flower in a Hurricane” featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is also on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The Launch Trailer page has every line of its dialogue from Rockstar’s own captions and what outlets saw in it, and the music page covers the score and the six named radio stations.

An Extended Look: August 27, 2026

Rockstar’s third official video is Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. It ran on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on August 27, 2026, then posted free on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET. It runs 26 minutes and 48 seconds and was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. Rockstar does not number it Trailer 3. Our Extended Look page breaks down what it showed, from the Jason and Lucia switching to the six-star wanted level, and what it did not.

Trailer 2: Lucia, Jason and Leonida (May 6, 2025)

The second trailer opened the story out around Lucia and Jason and showed more of the world and cast across Vice City and the Leonida Keys. Rockstar noted that the footage was captured on PlayStation 5, and the trailer accompanied confirmation of the 2026 release window. The Trailer 2 page breaks it down scene by scene.

Trailer 1: the reveal (December 4, 2023)

The reveal trailer introduced modern Vice City, the wider state of Leonida and the dual leads: Lucia, the first female co-lead in the modern 3D and HD-era GTA series, and Jason. It set the tone in about ninety seconds. Full shot-by-shot notes live on the Trailer 1 page.

The GTA 6 cover art

Rockstar revealed the official cover art on June 18, 2026, in the same update that set the June 25 pre-order date. It keeps the grid of small scenes the series is known for. Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval stand in the middle, Jason with a pistol pointed ahead and Lucia with a firearm and a briefcase. Around them are a stunt rider launching a motorcycle, a police cruiser mid chase, a helicopter with a mounted minigun, a sports car, a speedboat and an alligator near the bottom edge. Vice City club owner Boobie Ike and bank robber Raul Bautista are in the collage too. See it on Rockstar’s artwork page. Rockstar said a free printable cover art poster joins its official site on November 19.
