GTA 6 Launch Trailer

Rockstar posted the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer to its YouTube channel at 9 a.m. ET on October 15, 2026, with a Newswire post titled Watch the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer. It runs 90 seconds, and Rockstar says it was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5. It is the fourth official GTA 6 video, after Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025) and An Extended Look (August 27, 2026). Rockstar calls it the Launch Trailer and has never numbered a Trailer 3.

The music is what Rockstar led with. The trailer features new music from the electronic duo Justice, whom Rockstar names as the composers of the original score from Grand Theft Auto VI. The song is “Flower in a Hurricane”, a standalone Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It is also on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack, which can be pre-saved on streaming services and pre-ordered on vinyl and CD. Rockstar says more on the game’s music is coming, including the official score album, which has no date yet.

The description under the video repeats the story setup from Rockstar’s site: Jason and Lucia “have always known the deck is stacked against them”, and when an easy score goes wrong they end up in the middle of a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida, forced to rely on each other to make it out alive.

Rockstar’s own English captions carry three lines of dialogue. At two seconds: “I got in some trouble in the Army. Didn’t leave on the best of terms. They don’t give loans or, anything, to people like me.” At ten seconds: “This is a free call from Lucia Caminos.” At one minute two seconds: “Are we gonna be okay? We’ve stuck together through everything. Just gotta get through it.” The captions do not name the speakers. IGN attributes the opening narration to Jason and the closing exchange to Lucia and Jason, and The Hollywood Reporter describes Lucia calling from prison.

IGN describes what it saw: a bearded Jason buffing a boat at Brian’s Marina before Lucia’s call, scenes that look like flashbacks to Jason’s time in the Army, wading through water with a military unit and jumping from a helicopter, which IGN notes could also be set in the present, and a shower scene in which Lucia wears an ankle tag. IGN also notes the “plays best on PS5” message at the start and calls the footage cinematic action rather than gameplay. These are one outlet’s descriptions of the video, not Rockstar’s.

Neither the video description nor Rockstar’s post mentions GTA Online for GTA 6, a PC version or an install size, and Rockstar has not published its full radio station list. The post closes on the date: Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, with digital pre-load from November 12. By October 16 the upload had passed 25 million views on YouTube.
