Where to pre-order GTA 6
Pre-orders are open now at the storefronts below, and the game unlocks at launch on November 19, 2026 (digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12). We add direct edition links as each retailer lists them.
Retailer links are tracked so we can measure what readers find useful. We do not currently earn from these links. If a link becomes paid, we label it clearly. Full disclosure.
Physical vs digital: which should you pick?
Digital is the simplest choice. A digital pre-order pre-loads from November 12, so GTA 6 unlocks the moment it launches with nothing left to install, and digital prices are identical across the PlayStation and Xbox stores. The boxed retail version exists only for the Standard edition: Rockstar confirmed on June 24, 2026 that the case holds a download code rather than a game disc, and boxes reach stores a week early on November 12 so buyers can pre-load. The Ultimate edition is digital-only, there is no Ultimate box. If you start with the physical or digital Standard edition, you can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade on the PlayStation or Xbox store at any point to add the Ultimate content.

Frequently asked questions
How many GTA 6 editions are there?
Rockstar currently lists two: the Standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate edition at $99.99 in the US, confirmed on June 24, 2026. No Deluxe or Collector edition has been announced.
What are all the GTA 6 versions?
The currently announced versions are the Standard edition ($79.99) and the Ultimate edition ($99.99) in the US. Both are the full game on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S; the Ultimate version adds exclusive in-game content.
What is the difference between the GTA 6 editions?
The only difference is bonus content. Both editions include the full game and the free Vintage Vice City Pack with a pre-order. The $99.99 Ultimate edition adds exclusive in-game vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and safehouse items that the $79.99 Standard edition does not include. See the full Standard vs Ultimate comparison for a side by side.
Which GTA 6 edition should I buy?
The $79.99 Standard edition is enough if you only want the game. Step up to the $99.99 Ultimate edition if you want the exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and safehouse items it adds. Either way, pre-ordering before November 20 gets you the free Vintage Vice City Pack.
Is there a GTA 6 Deluxe or Collector edition?
Rockstar has not announced either one. The current official lineup includes Standard and Ultimate, and the circulated $230 Collector figure was not part of the reveal.
Is there a physical GTA 6 Ultimate edition?
No. The Ultimate edition is digital-only. The boxed retail version is the Standard edition, and the case contains a download code rather than a disc. Standard buyers can add the Ultimate content later by purchasing the Ultimate Edition Upgrade on the PlayStation or Xbox store.
Is GTA 6 going to cost $200?
No. GTA 6 is $79.99 (Standard) and $99.99 (Ultimate) in the US. Viral claims of a $150, $200 or $230 base price are false.
