The Ultimate edition is the top GTA 6 tier, confirmed at $99.99 in the US when Rockstar revealed the editions on June 24, 2026, ahead of pre-orders opening June 25. It is the same base game as the Standard edition; the $20 buys a bundle of exclusive in-game content that Rockstar listed by name. On Xbox, the Store also sells a $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on, so a Standard buyer can step up to Ultimate for the same $20 gap. Ultimate is sold digitally only: the boxed retail copy is the Standard edition, and its case holds a download code, not a disc.
On vehicles, the Ultimate edition adds a ’95 Grotti Cheetah, a ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with its own Paradise Garage, a Dinka Enduro motorcycle, a Crest Kayak and a Shitzu Squalo boat, plus the Ganado Retro Build mods for Jason’s Vapid Ganado pickup. On weapons, it includes his-and-hers Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers plus personalized sidearm variants for Jason’s Girardi ES9 and Lucia’s Klose K17 pistols. It also adds extra businesses and services, the Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie’s vehicle mod shops, the Stock 305 clothing store, Sara’s Unisex Salon and the Electric Fang tattoo parlor, along with exclusive outfits, tattoos and a Goodtime Gear apparel collection. The listing also includes the PTT Youngin$ compound, where you raid a gang compound for special items, and a Classic Car Collection commission. Rockstar says the bonuses are available across the story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter, and describes the Ultimate Edition as premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story.
The extras are not only cosmetic: the listing includes activities such as raiding the PTT Youngin$ compound and tracking down classic cars for a collector, and it marks each shop as open only with the Ultimate Edition, so what the Standard edition’s world holds is not detailed. On value: the $79.99 Standard edition gets you the base game, and Ultimate is $20 more for the extras above. Choose Ultimate if you specifically want the extra cars, weapons and mod shops and the $20 is comfortable, and note the items are uncovered behind each chapter, so you will not have all of it in your first session.
One important thing is the same either way: the free Vintage Vice City Pack is a pre-order bonus on both editions, not an Ultimate exclusive. Pre-order or buy either edition before November 20, 2026 and you get a ’55 Vapid Stanier with its own Shore Court Garage, outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern. A digital copy of either edition bought by November 19 also includes one free month of GTA+, which then auto-renews. So you do not need to spend the extra $20 to get the pre-order bonus, only the Ultimate-specific items above.
