Use the planning allowance to estimate a worst-case download window, not to predict the game size. A 150 GB transfer is about 1,200 gigabits before protocol overhead: roughly 3 hours 20 minutes at a constant 100 Mbps, 6 hours 40 minutes at 50 Mbps, or 13 hours 20 minutes at 25 Mbps. Real downloads vary with Wi-Fi, congestion, server speed and updates. Starting on November 12 leaves more recovery time than waiting for launch day.
Boxed buyers have one wrinkle. The physical GTA 6 edition ships with a download code rather than a disc, so it still requires the full download. Rockstar says physical codes can be redeemed once retailers provide them from November 12, but that does not guarantee a code at local midnight. Delivery or pickup timing determines when a boxed buyer can start. Once downloaded, GTA 6 stays locked until launch, and what time that happens is not confirmed.
