How to pre-order GTA 6
GTA 6 pre-orders are open now on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S at $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate (US). Any purchase before November 20 gets the free Vintage Vice City Pack, digital pre-orders add a month of GTA+, and pre-load starts November 10 for the November 19 launch.
Where to pre-order
The PlayStation Store and Xbox Store sell both editions digitally, the Rockstar Store sells digital and boxed copies, and we also link Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart and Amazon for the boxed Standard edition, which holds a download code, so check each store for stock and price. Outside the US, the worldwide price index lists your local store price.

Pre-order in four steps
- Pick your console. GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S only. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version. The PlayStation and Xbox listings show 1 player, and no online mode is announced.
- Pick Standard or Ultimate. Standard ($79.99) is the base game. Ultimate ($99.99) adds exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and shops and is digital only. You can buy Standard now and add Ultimate later: Rockstar Support says the PlayStation and Microsoft stores both sell the upgrade, which the Xbox Store lists at $20.
- Pick digital or boxed. Digital pre-orders get one free month of GTA+, which renews automatically unless you cancel. The boxed copy is Standard and holds a download code, not a disc. Digital copies can pre-load from November 10 and a boxed copy once you have its code; Rockstar said code-in-box copies should be available from retailers beginning November 12. Either way you need an internet connection and up to 212 GB of available space, depending on your device.
- Order before November 20. Any purchase made before November 20, 2026, pre-order or launch-day, gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, so waiting until you have decided does not forfeit it. The Xbox Store lists the cutoff as 23:59:59 on November 19. Check the total at checkout, then add the November 10 pre-load to your calendar.

Cancel and refund deadlines
Each store sets its own rules, and Rockstar Support sends refund questions to the store or retailer you bought from. Two dates matter: Xbox’s cancel window closes about November 9, and a PS5 download can end your refund from midnight on November 10. Read on November 3, 2026.

Can I wishlist GTA 6?
Yes on the PlayStation Store, where the Grand Theft Auto VI listing has an Add to Wishlist button. We could not confirm a wish list option on the Xbox Store listing, so check your own account. A wishlist is free and charges nothing, but it does not secure the Vintage Vice City Pack, which comes with a purchase. There is no Steam or Epic page to wishlist, because no PC version is announced.
Also on sale: the collector’s box and the album
The Vice City Collection is Rockstar’s collector’s box, not a game edition: 11 items themed on the in-game TV show Macca the Gator, including GTAVI Oakley Frogskins and a New Era snapback. The game is sold separately. Vice and Kotaku report a price of $399.99. It ships from November 19, one per person, to 23 countries at launch (the US, Canada, the UK and 20 European countries), and Rockstar says Asia, Latin America and Australia details are still to come. It is sold on the Rockstar Store.

When did GTA 6 pre-orders open?
GTA 6 pre-orders opened at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, and they are open now. The game launches on November 19, 2026.
When do GTA 6 pre-orders end?
When your store unlocks the game: 00:00 UTC on November 19 in the UK and 05:00 UTC in the US, for example. Any purchase before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack (the Xbox Store lists the cutoff as 23:59:59 on November 19), while the free GTA+ month comes with digital pre-orders.
How much does GTA 6 cost to pre-order?
Rockstar confirmed the price on June 24, 2026: $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate in the US. Every purchase before November 20 gets the free Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+.
Is GTA 6 the same price on PS5 and Xbox?
In the US, yes: $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate on both stores, and most other markets we checked list the same local Standard price on both. The PlayStation figure differs in Mexico, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and it bills in US dollars in Argentina, Chile and Colombia (read November 3, 2026).
Can you pre-order GTA 6 physically?
Yes, but the box holds a download code, not a disc, and it is only the Standard edition. Ultimate is digital only. There is no Collector’s Edition of the game; the Vice City Collection is a separate merchandise box without the game.
Will GTA 6 come out on disc later?
No disc version is on sale or dated: Rockstar Support says boxed copies hold a download code and no disc, and Rockstar’s date for them to reach retailers is November 12. The box is the Standard edition and Ultimate is digital only, so every copy is a download.
Do you need to pre-order GTA 6?

Are GTA 6 download codes region locked?
On PlayStation, yes: Rockstar Support lists regional groups, and a code only works on an account registered in its group. Brazil, Japan, Korea, the UK and North America each have their own group, while India, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe share one. Xbox codes are not region locked, but Rockstar Support still recommends buying from a retailer in your account’s country.
Who can redeem the free GTA+ month with a GTA 6 pre-order?
Digital pre-orders include one free month of GTA+, which renews automatically unless you cancel. The Xbox Store listing sets the terms: redeem it under Offers and credits in the Store within 180 days after placing the pre-order, once per platform account, and child accounts with restrictions on age-restricted content cannot use it.
Can you pre-order GTA 6 on PC?
No. Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Pre-orders are for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S only.
What is GTA 6 rated?
The ESRB rates GTA 6 Mature 17+, the Xbox Store listing shows R 18+ for Australia, and Australia’s Classification database holds an R 18+ record from August 27, 2026 for the gameplay demonstration. Germany’s USK rates it 18, Japan’s CERO rates it Z and the Korean PlayStation Store shows 19+. The ESRB descriptors include blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and drug and alcohol use, with a notice for in-game purchases.
