GTA 6 MCP Server and Open Data for AI Assistants and Developers

Add https://gta6times.com/mcp to an AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers and it can answer GTA 6 questions from sourced data: when GTA 6 unlocks where you live, what it costs there, and whether a claim is confirmed, reported or only a rumor. It is free, read-only and needs no account.

Connect it

The server speaks the Model Context Protocol over Streamable HTTP, with JSON answers. Point any MCP client at this address, with no authentication:

The tools

11 read-only tools. Each answer includes the status of what it says, the source, the date it was last checked and the page on this site that explains it.

  • get_launch_countdown: Use this when someone asks how long until GTA 6 launches. Returns the confirmed release date (November 19, 2026, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), the days left, and the exact unlock moments for New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the US East Coast. Optional: an IANA time zone such as "Asia/Kolkata" for that zone's local-midnight unlock.
  • get_unlock_time: Use this when someone asks what time GTA 6 unlocks in a given country. Based on the PlayStation Store listing (local midnight on November 19, 2026). Returns the exact UTC moment, the local wall-clock label, the time-zone abbreviation and the page that explains it. The answer states that Rockstar has not published its own unlock table and that Xbox timing is not confirmed.
  • get_price: Use this when someone asks what GTA 6 costs in a country. Returns the Standard and Ultimate edition price with how firm the figure is (confirmed from the official store listing, reported, estimate, or billed in US dollars), the source, the date it was last read and, for confirmed markets, an approximate US dollar value at the dated ECB rate. Prices are read from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.
  • list_markets: Use this when someone asks which countries GTA 6 prices are tracked for, or which prices are confirmed. Lists every tracked market (98 today) with the price status of each; prices were last fully rechecked on October 24, 2026. Optional filter by status.
  • get_facts: Use this when someone wants to separate what Rockstar and Take-Two have confirmed about GTA 6 from what is only reported or rumored. Returns the fact database: every claim with its status (confirmed, likely, unverified, rumor, false, outdated), why, when it was last checked and its source. Optional filters: status, or a keyword.
  • check_claim: Use this when someone asks whether a specific GTA 6 claim or rumor is true. Looks it up in the fact database and returns the closest entries with their status (confirmed, rumor, false and so on), the reason and the source. Returns no match rather than guessing when nothing is close.
  • get_latest_news: Use this when someone asks for the latest GTA 6 news. Returns the newest published GTA6 Times stories, each with its label (Confirmed, Reported, Rumor, Leak, Analysis or Guide), a one-line summary, the date and the URL, where the sources are listed.
  • get_trailers: Use this when someone asks about the official GTA 6 trailers. Returns the videos released by Rockstar (Trailer 1, Trailer 2, An Extended Look, the Launch Trailer) with release dates, lengths where read from the official upload, and the page for each.
  • search_gta6times: Use this when someone wants the GTA6 Times page that covers a topic. Searches the site's pages, guides, tools and answers and returns matching pages with a one-line description.
  • search: Use this when someone asks anything about GTA 6 and needs sourced material: searches the site's answers, news, facts, markets, trailers and pages. Returns up to 10 results as {id, title, url}; pass an id to the fetch tool for the full text.
  • fetch: Use this when a search result needs its full text. Pass the id from the search tool (for example "answer:/gta-6/crossplay", "news:<slug>", "fact:<id>", "market:india", "trailer:<slug>"). Returns {id, title, text, url, metadata}, with the status and sources included in the text.

Questions it answers well

  • “What time does GTA 6 unlock in India, and what does it cost there?”
  • “Is it confirmed that GTA 6 is coming to PC?” (It is not announced; one report is a rumor.)
  • “Which GTA 6 stories are confirmed and which are only reported?”
  • “List the official GTA 6 trailers with their release dates.”

How the answers are labeled

Confirmed means Rockstar, Take-Two, an official store listing or a rating board said it. Reported means a named outlet has it and the company has not confirmed it. Rumor means unnamed sources, a leak or a guess. The PlayStation Store listings unlock GTA 6 at local midnight on November 19, 2026 in each region; Rockstar has not published its own unlock table, and Xbox timing is not confirmed. Prices for 98 markets are read from the official stores and marked confirmed, reported, estimate or billed in US dollars. Read how we work in the editorial standards.

Limits and privacy

The server is read-only and stateless. It needs no account, sets no cookies and stores nothing about a request beyond ordinary server logs. It allows 120 requests a minute per address. If you build something with it, a link back is appreciated; if something it says is wrong, tell us through the contact page and the fix goes on the corrections page.

Developer questions

What is the GTA6 Times MCP server?

A free, read-only Model Context Protocol server at https://gta6times.com/mcp. An AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers can call its tools to get the unlock time of GTA 6 in a country, the price there, the status of a claim (confirmed, reported, rumor), the official trailers and the latest labeled news, each with the page that holds the source.

Do I need an account or an API key?

No. The server needs no sign-in and no key, stores nothing about you, and cannot change anything: every tool only reads the same data that the site shows. Requests are limited to 120 a minute per address.

Where does the data come from?

From the site's own reviewed data: official PlayStation Store and Xbox Store listings for prices and unlock times, and Rockstar, Take-Two and the rating boards for facts. Each answer carries its status, its source and the date it was last checked. Rockstar has not published its own unlock table and Xbox unlock timing is not confirmed, and the answers say so.

Can I reuse the open data?

Yes. The datasets are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link back to gta6times.com, and the widgets are free to embed with the credit link kept.

Is this affiliated with Rockstar Games?

No. GTA6 Times is an independent fan site. It is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
