Privacy Policy
We collect as little as possible: your email only if you ask for alerts, the display name and content you choose to submit to the community, plus limited analytics and advertising data. We never sell your personal information. Last updated July 15, 2026.
Who we are
GTA6 Times (“we”, “us”) operates the website at gta6times.com, an independent GTA 6 news and tools hub. This policy explains what data we process and your rights over it.
What we collect and why
- Email address, only if you subscribe to alerts. We use it solely to send the GTA 6 updates you asked for (pre-orders, price, trailers, launch). It is stored with our email provider and never sold or shared for marketing.
- Community submissions, if you post a forum thread or reply: the display name, title, category and text you choose to submit. We store these fields so a human can moderate the post; approved submissions are public. Do not include private information in a post.
- Usage and device data, such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser and referrer, to understand what is useful and improve the site. Our primary Umami measurement is self-hosted, cookieless, excludes search parameters and respects Do Not Track. When Google Analytics is configured, its tag can load with analytics and advertising storage denied and send limited Consent Mode signals; analytics storage is granted only after you accept. Microsoft Clarity loads only after acceptance.
- Advertising data. When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may process limited request data and, where consent permits, use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. See “Advertising and cookies” below.
- Local preferences, such as your light or dark theme choice, stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. This never leaves your browser.
- Abuse-prevention signals, such as an IP address processed briefly in memory to rate-limit subscription and community-post attempts. We do not store an IP address or user-agent string with your email signup, forum thread, or forum reply.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and the site is not directed at them.
Advertising and cookies
When enabled, we display ads through Google AdSense. Ad requests can process information such as IP-derived region, browser details, page context and ad interactions. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers for personalized advertising only where the required consent has been obtained. AdSense stays disabled until a Google-certified consent platform and reviewed ad placements are configured.
You can control or opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
- Turn off Google personalized ads in Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.
- See how Google uses data when you use a site that shows its ads in Google’s partner-sites notice.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, change your advertising-consent choices any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer.
See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookie types and how to manage them.
Third parties we share data with
- Google AdSense, when enabled, for displaying and measuring ads.
- Our email provider, for storing your subscription and sending alerts.
- Analytics and hosting providers, to run and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. Our legal bases are consent for email alerts and optional third-party storage, and legitimate interests for aggregate cookieless measurement and site security. You can withdraw consent at any time.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA):you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email us (see Contact). To unsubscribe from emails, use the one-tap link in any alert, which removes you immediately.
Data retention and security
We keep your email until you unsubscribe. Community submissions remain while the discussion is useful or until they are removed through moderation or a valid deletion request; contact us with the post URL and display name to request review or deletion. Analytics and ad data follow the providers’ own retention periods. We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS across the whole site, but no method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. We will change the “last updated” date above when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page.
