GTA 6 Trailer 2

Trailer 2 is the stronger story source of the two official videos. Rockstar’s current synopsis says Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. After an easy score goes wrong, they become caught in a conspiracy across Leonida and have to rely on each other. The trailer supplies scenes around that premise, but it is still an edited marketing video. It does not reveal the full sequence of missions or the outcome of the story.

The opening follows Jason through everyday movement around Leonida before he meets Lucia at a correctional facility. Later scenes place the pair at home, on the road, around other characters and in criminal situations. The useful confirmed point is the partnership at the center of the game. Calling it a complete Bonnie and Clyde retelling, promising romance systems or predicting betrayal would go beyond Rockstar’s published description.

Rockstar’s expanded official site names six supporting figures alongside the leads: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, the Real Dimez duo, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Trailer 2 gives the wider cast much more room than the reveal did. Names and bios should come from Rockstar’s character profiles, not from visual guesses about an unnamed person in a frame. The video also broadens the setting. Rockstar now names Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. Trailer 2 includes city, highway, coastal, industrial and rural imagery consistent with that broader world. It still does not provide a scale, a boundary map or proof that every visible interior is enterable. Those questions remain unannounced.

A note attached to Rockstar’s release says Trailer 2 was captured on a PlayStation 5 and combines gameplay and cutscene footage. That is meaningful platform context, but it is not a benchmark. Rockstar has not published a scene by scene label separating gameplay from cinematics, and the video does not declare a frame rate, native resolution or graphics mode. PlayStation later listed PS5 Pro Enhanced support, while detailed performance specifications remain absent.

The date context needs care. Trailer 2 arrived on May 6, 2025 after Rockstar had moved the game out of its original 2025 window. The schedule changed again later. The current official release date is November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, with digital preloading beginning at local midnight on November 12 in supported markets. The trailer is still an official source for its footage, but its historical scheduling context does not override the current product page.

Trailer 2 does not announce GTA Online for GTA 6, crossplay, PC, a playable unlock hour or Trailer 3. It also does not settle whether a visible vehicle, weapon, shop or activity belongs to the Standard Edition, Ultimate Edition or a cinematic scene. Edition details now live in Rockstar’s current product and support pages and should be checked there rather than inferred from this video.

Taken on its own terms, Trailer 2 confirms a more character focused look at Lucia and Jason and a wider official view of Leonida. The best way to use it is as evidence alongside Rockstar’s named profiles and location pages. Freeze a claim at the narrowest level the source supports, and leave the remaining technical and gameplay questions visibly open.
