Sensor Tower estimates about 7.71 million digital GTA 6 pre-orders worth about $751 million, 74 percent on PlayStation. Take-Two has published no count.

GTA 6 has about 7.71 million digital pre-orders worth about $751 million, Sensor Tower estimates, according to reports on the analytics firm's sales tracker from ixbt.games on November 3 and Dexerto on November 4. These are outside estimates: neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has published a count.

The estimate puts 74 percent on PlayStation, about 5.74 million copies and $559 million, and 26 percent on Xbox Series X and S, about 1.97 million copies and $192 million, Dexerto reported. ixbt.games says about 790,000 of those pre-orders came in the week before its November 3 report and that the split between the consoles did not move in that time.

The total is climbing as launch nears. GTA Intel reported Sensor Tower's October 18 snapshot at 6.45 million copies and $630 million, and its count through July 20 at just over 4 million copies and about $395 million. GTA Intel also says Karl Kontus, who runs Sensor Tower's Video Game Insights team, said in August that most pre-orders would likely arrive in the final week or so before launch.

The figures have limits. Dexerto notes that they leave out physical copies, and ixbt.games describes them as net of refunds. Writing about the October figures, GTA Intel said Sensor Tower receives no sales data from Rockstar or Sony, can revise its numbers, and counts what buyers paid before platform fees, which is not what Take-Two earns.

Take-Two's next chance to give a number is November 9, when it reports fiscal Q2 2027 results after the US market closes, with a call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, as our Take-Two stock page lists. That quarter ended September 30, so it holds no launch sales.
