GTA 6 pre-orders are open: price, editions and bonus
Quick answer: GTA 6 pre-orders are open for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. They began on June 25, 2026. In the United States, the Standard edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate edition costs $99.99. Pre-load begins November 12 before the November 19 launch.
Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Rockstar first announced the date on June 18, then published the prices, editions and bonus terms on June 24. Orders are now live through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store and selected retailers. The game itself releases November 19, 2026. Our GTA 6 pre-order guide keeps the official storefront links and buyer checks in one place.
The United States has two editions. Standard costs $79.99 and includes the full single-player game. Ultimate costs $99.99 and adds an upgrade pack with extra in-game vehicles, weapons, clothing and safehouse items. Rockstar has announced no Deluxe or Collector edition. The Ultimate version is digital-only, but a Standard owner can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade later. The GTA 6 editions comparison lists every confirmed extra and explains who gains anything from the additional $20.
Every digital pre-order or purchase made before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. The pack adds a 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage, outfits, hairstyles and a weapon pattern. The GTA+ month is a subscription offer, not permanent access. It renews at the normal monthly price unless canceled. Redemption deadlines also differ by platform, so buyers should read the terms shown on their own console account before accepting it.
Pre-load starts at local midnight on November 12 for digital buyers. Physical Standard boxes are also scheduled to reach stores from November 12, but the box contains a download code rather than a disc. That code downloads the full game, so a boxed copy does not avoid the install or save SSD space. There is no physical Ultimate edition. Buyers who want a box should also check delivery timing, because receiving the code after November 12 removes part of the pre-load advantage.
Account region matters most on PlayStation. Rockstar says a PlayStation code must match the country group of the account that redeems it, while Xbox download codes are not region-locked. Buying from a foreign marketplace can therefore leave a PlayStation customer with a code that does not work on the intended account. Use a retailer in the same country as the platform account and compare the verified local price on our worldwide price index before paying.
Before checkout, confirm the edition, platform, account region and subscription terms on the final order screen. A legitimate listing names PS5 or Xbox Series X and S, shows Standard or Ultimate, and sends the buyer through an official store or a recognized retailer. It does not promise a beta, an early-access build or a transferable PC key. Save the receipt and read the seller’s refund policy before redeeming any download code, since redemption can change whether a return is available.
A PC pre-order does not exist. Rockstar currently lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, so PC storefront listings, keys or early-access downloads are not official. The company also has not published the final install size, console graphics modes or one worldwide playable-hour schedule. Those unknowns do not stop a legitimate console pre-order, but they do make storage promises, performance claims and paid PC reservations unreliable. The current platform status is tracked on our GTA 6 platforms page.
