Is GTA 6 coming to PS4 or Xbox One?
No. GTA 6 is current-gen only: PS5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.
Rockstar built GTA 6 exclusively for current-generation consoles. PS4 and Xbox One were never listed in any trailer, announcement, or the pre-order details, and they will not get the game.
The reason is hardware. The size of Leonida, the draw distance, the crowd density and the fast world streaming all lean on the SSD and the newer GPU and CPU in the PS5 and Xbox Series machines. Last-gen consoles cannot keep up.
This is different from GTA 5, which launched cross-gen on PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013. GTA 6 starts current-gen only. A PC version is unannounced and widely expected later, around 2027, but no last-gen version is expected at any point.
