The public Xbox listing shows only the date, while the catalog entry behind the US listing, rechecked on October 24, 2026, records 05:00 UTC on November 19, which is midnight Eastern. That is a store record, not a Rockstar schedule, and the PlayStation Store listings unlock earlier in some regions.
Series S vs Series X: what Rockstar confirmed
Series X and Series S are both official launch platforms. Rockstar has not published different resolution, frame-rate or graphics modes for them. Kotaku reported, from creators who visited Rockstar North, that consoles run the game at 30fps at this stage and that Rockstar would not commit to a 60fps mode. The two consoles’ hardware differences do not prove a specific GTA 6 output mode before the finished game is measured.
Storage, Game Pass and launch checklist
Rockstar says the pre-load will require up to 212 GB of available space, depending on your device, and it gives no split between Series X and Series S. Owners of consoles with smaller built-in drives have less storage headroom, so they should review installed games before November 10. An expansion card adds space if you cannot clear that much; the GTA 6 file size guide sets the figure against each console’s drive.
Rockstar lists no Xbox One launch version and has not announced GTA 6 for Game Pass. Plan to buy the game on Series X or Series S unless an official store listing changes.
