GTA 6 launch day checklist

• ☐ Pre-load from November 10 if you bought a digital copy, or once you have the code from a boxed copy, so the download is finished before launch day (Rockstar says midnight local time on PS5 and 12 a.m. GMT on Xbox)
• ☐ Clear up to 212 GB of available space, the most Rockstar says the pre-load will require, and leave room for a day-one patch
• ☐ Update your console system software the night before
• ☐ Check your internet is stable, the day-one patch can be large
• ☐ Set your TV or monitor to game mode; use its higher refresh setting only when the console output supports it
• ☐ Plan your time, stores and services may be busy around launch
• ☐ Check your store listing for the unlock hour and set a reminder; the PlayStation Store lists midnight in each region, with New Zealand first at 11:00 UTC on November 18 and the US East at 05:00 UTC on November 19
• ☐ Avoid spoilers, mute keywords on social the day before
