- ☐ Decide your budget, the Xbox Series S is the entry-level console, the PS5 or Series X is the premium pick
- ☐ Pick the ecosystem your friends play on; Rockstar has not announced crossplay or comparative performance
- ☐ Compare the available formats; Rockstar says the boxed version contains a download code rather than a game disc
- ☐ Choose a display for your console and other games; GTA 6 output modes are not announced
- ☐ Plan storage around Rockstar’s figure of up to 212 GB to pre-load, and buy an SSD for GTA 6 only if you cannot clear that much
- ☐ Compare prices across retailers and watch for console plus game bundles
- ☐ Check the price on your store before you buy, so you do not overpay near launch
