GTA 6 launch trailer shows Jason and Lucia

Rockstar Games put out the GTA 6 launch trailer on Thursday, October 15, 2026, Ynetnews reports. The clip runs about 90 seconds, is set in Vice City and the state of Leonida, and lands just over a month before the game's November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. According to Ynetnews, every frame was captured from the game running on a PlayStation 5, though Rockstar did not say whether the standard console or the PS5 Pro was used.

DualShockers, writing on October 15, notes the trailer is far shorter than the roughly 26-minute Extended Look shared in August and concentrates on the trouble pulling the two protagonists together. Quoting Rockstar's official announcement, the outlet describes an "easy score" that goes wrong and drags Jason and Lucia into "a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida." Ynetnews adds that the footage fills in Jason's background: he got into trouble during his military service and left the armed forces under difficult circumstances.

The trailer also carries a music announcement. Rockstar named Justice as the composers of the original score, and the trailer features their new single "Flower in a Hurricane," which includes Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Ynetnews says the track will appear on the official soundtrack album, and The PC Enthusiast reports the same composer confirmation. DualShockers says Rockstar has not set a date for the separate score album and has only promised more information on the music.

Ynetnews also reports that buyers of the digital edition can start downloading on November 12, one week before release. DualShockers counts this as the fourth major GTA 6 video, after the August Extended Look, which it counts as the third. gHacks, publishing on October 16, also covered the trailer's release ahead of the November 19 console launch.

Ynetnews notes the trailer does not introduce major new gameplay mechanics, and no PC release date has been announced.
