GTA 6 speedrunning

What GTA 6 speedrunning will look like once the game is out. Runs and leaderboards form after the November 19, 2026 launch; here are the categories to expect and how a new GTA speedrun scene usually takes shape.

Forward-looking. GTA 6 is not out, so no routes or records exist yet. The categories below are the standard ones the community uses across GTA games, explained for newcomers.

The common categories

Any%

Finish the game as fast as possible by any means, including skips and glitches. Any% is usually the headline category and the most competitive.

100%

Complete everything the game counts toward full completion: main story plus the collectibles and activities that fill the in-game progress meter. Much longer than Any%.

Glitchless

Finish the game fast but without using glitches or major exploits, rewarding clean, optimized normal play. Popular when Any% becomes glitch-heavy.

Mission and challenge runs

Individual-level and mini-category runs (single missions, specific challenges) appear early while the community maps the full game.

How a new GTA speedrun scene forms

In the first days after launch, runners race the story blind, then routes get optimized, glitches get found, and categories split (Any%, glitchless, 100%). Leaderboards settle over the following weeks. We will add GTA 6 routes and record context once the game is live.
