GTA 6 Online: what we know

Expected A new online mode for GTA 6, the successor to GTA 5 Online, is widely expected, but Rockstar has not confirmed how it works or when it launches.

GTA Online ran for over a decade and earned billions, so a follow-up for GTA 6 is treated as near-certain. What Rockstar has not said is whether it launches alongside the single-player game or some weeks or months later, as happened with GTA 5.

Expect an evolving online world funded by optional in-game purchases. Crossplay, progression and the exact feature set are all unconfirmed. We will update this page as Rockstar reveals the online plans.
