Virgin Media Ireland will pay a gamer to play GTA 6
Quick answer: Virgin Media Ireland will pay one gamer €800, about $891, to play GTA 6 for eight hours, with the company buying the game.
Virgin Media Ireland has opened a competition that will pay one applicant to spend eight hours playing GTA 6, according to Dexerto. The job is tied to Rockstar Games' upcoming title.
Dexerto, citing Virgin Media Ireland's competition page, puts the rate at €100 per hour, about $111 USD, over eight hours. That comes to €800, or about $891 USD, using exchange rates as of October 27, 2026. Irish Mirror says the money arrives as a gift card.
The company will cover the price of the game, so the winner pays nothing for their copy. Dexerto reports the winner may spread the eight hours over a full week instead of playing in one sitting. Once finished, the winner has to post an honest review on social media that tags Virgin Media Ireland.
Entrants write an application of between 100 and 200 words on why they should be picked. Dexerto reports Virgin Media will choose a winner and get in touch within seven days of the application window closing. No application deadline has been given.
Irish Mirror reports that GTA 6 comes out on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on Thursday, November 19.
