Xbox parental controls for GTA 6
GTA 6 is made for adults. On Xbox Series X and S you can block it for a child with the Xbox Family Settings app: set age limits, restrict chat and multiplayer, cap spending, and require approval.
GTA 6 is not officially rated yet, but it is expected to be ESRB M (17+) and PEGI 18, like every past GTA. Setting the age limit below 18 covers it.
- Use the Xbox Family Settings app. Install the free Xbox Family Settings app, create a family group, and add the child account to it. Most controls live in the app.
- Set content and age limits. Set an age limit for games and apps below 18 so M or 18-rated games like GTA 6 are blocked from launching.
- Restrict communication and multiplayer. Limit who the child can message, chat and play with online, and turn off cross-network communication if you want it stricter.
- Set spending and screen time. Add a spending limit so purchases need approval, and set a screen-time schedule for the console.
- Filter web and require approval. Turn on web filtering for the console browser and set new games or apps to need your approval.
