GTA 6 screenshots
Rockstar’s official GTA VI media library currently contains 70 core screenshots. Separate groups cover Ultimate Edition content, the Vintage Pack and official artwork. This page records what exists, where it lives and how to read it without turning observations into invented gameplay claims. Count checked July 16, 2026.
What is in Rockstar’s current media library?
The number most readers want is 70. That is the total shown in the main screenshot gallery when we checked it on July 16, 2026. The same GTA VI media area also contains separate collections tied to the Ultimate Edition and Vintage Pack, plus an artwork and wallpaper section and an official video library. Those are useful collections, but they are not 70 additional views of the base game. Keeping each collection separate prevents an inflated headline count.
| Collection | Checked total | How we classify it |
|---|---|---|
| Core screenshots | 70 | Main GTA VI screenshot gallery |
| Ultimate Edition images | 51 | Separate edition feature set |
| Vintage Pack images | 12 | Separate bonus content set |
| Artwork items | 20 | Artwork and wallpaper, not screenshots |
| Official videos | 11 | Trailer and character video catalog |
These totals are a dated observation, not a promise that Rockstar will leave the library unchanged. The source of truth is the official media area: screenshots, videos and artwork and wallpapers.
Why an older GTA6 Times story says 63
Our June 2026 snapshot recorded 63 images in the core gallery. The live gallery later showed 70. Rockstar does not provide an item by item public upload log on that page, so it would be misleading to claim that seven named images arrived on a particular day. We preserve the older count as a dated observation and use the live total here. This is also why every count on this page carries a checked date.
How to read a screenshot without inventing a feature
A screenshot can prove that Rockstar chose to show a person, place, vehicle or object. It does not automatically prove that the scene is a playable mission, that every visible building is enterable, or that an activity is available to the player. Our notes use three evidence levels:
- Named by Rockstar: a character, region, vehicle or feature appears in official copy.
- Visible in official media: the object is observable, but its gameplay role is not stated.
- Interpretation: a possible reading that must remain labeled and cannot become a confirmed fact.
For confirmed names, use our sourced guides to the eight principal GTA 6 characters and six official Leonida regions. The trailer evidence database applies the same distinction to footage. That creates a useful research trail without presenting fan inference as Rockstar copy.
What the gallery establishes about the world
Rockstar’s separate location pages establish Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga as named parts of Leonida. The gallery gives readers more visual context for those regions, while Rockstar’s text provides the confirmation. We do not use a city scene to promise street racing, a boat to promise fishing, or a port image to promise dock work. Until Rockstar names an activity, those remain observations or possibilities.
You can compare the official region record with our original Leonida evidence map. It links each region to Rockstar’s source page and does not trace or reproduce the game map.
Why GTA6 Times does not copy the gallery
Better image coverage does not mean copying somebody else’s entire library. Rockstar owns the screenshots and artwork. Rehosting all of them would add little value, slow the page and create an unnecessary rights risk. Our contribution is the dated catalog, the evidence method, original graphics and links that take you to the highest quality official files.
We will update the count when the official gallery changes and record the check date here. For moving footage, watch the official YouTube embeds in our GTA 6 trailer hub. For a concise record of what Rockstar has actually announced, use the confirmed facts ledger.
Frequently asked questions
How many official GTA 6 screenshots are there?
Rockstar’s core GTA VI screenshot gallery contained 70 images when GTA6 Times checked it on July 16, 2026. Rockstar also groups separate Ultimate Edition and Vintage Pack images in its media library, so those sets should not be added to the 70 core total as if they were one gallery.
Where can I see the official GTA 6 screenshots?
Use Rockstar’s GTA VI media page. GTA6 Times links to the original gallery instead of copying Rockstar’s copyrighted images.
Did Rockstar release 70 screenshots at once?
No public changelog says that. The gallery total has changed over time. GTA6 Times recorded an earlier 63 image snapshot in June 2026 and counted 70 core images on July 16, 2026, but does not assign an upload date to individual additions without an official record.
Can I reuse GTA 6 screenshots on my own site?
The official images are Rockstar’s copyrighted material. View Rockstar’s terms and obtain any permission you need. GTA6 Times does not offer those images for reuse.
