How we rate gear for GTA 6
Every "best for GTA 6" pick is rated on a few attributes using an honest word scale, from confirmed specs, and ranked by budget and ecosystem. We never invent a score out of 10, and we never present a price as fixed.
The word scale
Instead of a single decimal score, each pick gets a rating per attribute on this scale: Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair, Basic. Each rating comes from confirmed manufacturer specs and hands-on knowledge where we have it, so it is defensible rather than asserted.
What we rate, by category
- Consoles: Raw power, GTA 6 launch readiness, value, and ecosystem.
- TVs and monitors: Motion (120Hz and VRR), input lag, HDR brightness, and value.
- Headsets: Audio, mic quality, comfort, and wireless or latency.
- SSDs and storage: Speed, capacity, compatibility, and value.
How we handle prices
Prices move constantly, so we show a dated approximate for context and always link out to the live price. We never freeze a number in our copy or imply a deal that is not currently real. See our affiliate disclosure for how we make money.
How we stay honest
We label what is confirmed versus expected, we list real cons next to the pros, and we update picks as prices and stock change. Read our editorial standards.

Frequently asked questions
Do you give products a score out of 10?
No. We do not invent precise lab scores. We rate each pick on a small set of attributes using a word scale (Excellent to Basic) drawn from confirmed manufacturer specs, so every rating is defensible.
Are the prices on your gear pages real?
We show a dated approximate for context, but never present a price as fixed because retailers change them constantly. Every buy button links out so you see the live price before you decide.
Do you get paid for recommendations?
We use affiliate links and may earn a commission if you buy through them. It never changes our ranking or the price you pay. See our affiliate disclosure.
