GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate Edition

For most players the $79.99 Standard edition is the right buy: it is the full game, and you still get the free Vintage Vice City Pack when you pre-order before November 20. Pay $20 more for the $99.99 Ultimate edition only if you want its exclusive in-game vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and safehouse items from day one. There is no Collector edition.

Our pick: Standard edition, for almost everyone

Standard is the complete game at $79.99 and still includes the free Vintage Vice City Pack with a pre-order. The $20 Ultimate upgrade is purely optional in-game cosmetics and gear, nice to have but not the game. Only buy Ultimate if you know you want those extras from launch day.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GTA 6 Ultimate edition worth it?

Only if you want its exclusive in-game content from day one: extra vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and safehouse items. They do not change the story or the map, so most players are well served by the $79.99 Standard edition. The Ultimate edition costs $99.99 in the US.

What is the difference between GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate?

Both include the full game and the free Vintage Vice City Pack when you pre-order. The $99.99 Ultimate edition adds exclusive in-game vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos and safehouse items that the $79.99 Standard edition does not include.

Do both editions get the Vintage Vice City Pack?

Yes. The Vintage Vice City Pack is a pre-order bonus, so any pre-order placed before November 20, 2026 gets it on both the Standard and Ultimate editions. Digital pre-orders of either edition also include one free month of GTA+.

Is there a GTA 6 Collector or Deluxe edition?

No. Rockstar confirmed only two editions on June 24, 2026: Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99). There is no Deluxe and no physical Collector edition; the $230 collector figure that circulated earlier was a leak.
